The St. Stephen's Legislative Advocacy ministry works to provide understanding of Catholic social teachings relative to important legislative matters, at both the state and national level, and to promote action consistent with church teaching. Our focus is on issues that most directly impact the family - the "vital cell of society." Monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday at 7:30pm in the Parish office conf room. The June 24th Fortnight event featured mass and a special patriotic rosary, followed by a fabulous Mexican dinner, and then our guest speakers from Vocare -- Anne Marie Kelly & John Geis who spoke about the challenges we face protecting our religious liberties and the need for Catholics to "engage in the public square" as our Holy Father and the U.S. Catholic bishops are encouraging us all to do.
